Hi,
I have been reading your site for a while now and enjoy reading about the different computers you have collected. I have some information that I think you will find interesting.
I was the 5th employee of Franklin Computer Corporation back in the 80's we started out in a small office in Maple Shade NJ.(The three owners Russell, Joel, Barry and Mike the engineer). I was really young then. I was the Technican that worked with Mike to create the first proto type. We built the mother bd on top of a piece of sheet metal. The first ones we built were all in one. The base and the monitor were all one unit. To big for home use, again home computers were not there. I was everything at that time, shipping and receiving, assembly and tester. My days were long........
We moved from there to a plant facility in Pennsauken, NJ and I was ask to work with an industrial engineer to setup the assembly lines and then I was ask to hire employees. We grew rapidly and I was the supervisor for production. Yes I was there during the law suite.........
Erick, I just posted my listing on Ebay of my Franklin ACE1000 and bundle I decided to part with it. This was one of the first units to come off the Assembly line. Check it out.............
I have everything even the original software...I think this computer has Historical Value.......I did not post the picture but I even have a picture of one of the prototypes with the owner when we were in the little office in Maple Shade, NJ. I have read many writes ups on the History of Franklin Computer Corp. and I am here to give you additional History because I was there. If you have any questions feel free to email me.
Regards
Susan
