Website Awards and the like

I'm not sure what ever happened to all of these but I remember a ton of sites used to have any number of awards that they'd won. Everything from geeky site of the week to awards for technical excellence.

Is anyone familiar with currently running awards of that type?

Would us writers get something out of it, if
it turned out there was a certain page which
we created (or is it just the overall site!)?

I certainally didn't know about this, it's
certainally new to me!

The awards submissions were for my main site at www.vintage-computer.com and not really for the forums. I did end up finding a wide variety of awards still being issued, applied for a bunch and won a bunch.

That's great, Erik. You deserve the awards. This site is doing very well, for as new as it is. (I know you put a lot of work/time into it.)
