Just got these today... bought them off a member on 68kmla.....$20 for all 3. They are General Magic Datarover 840s. All 3 are in very good shape, and all 3 work. I think the coolest thing about them is the fact they use Sony Mavica digital camera batteries... same voltage and mA. Therefore I can use the Mavica charger I have to charge the batteries. I already bought a compatible WiFi card on fleabay, as well as a PCMCIA to Compactflash card adapter. I'm actually surprised that these weren't more popular.

Very interesting; how do they connect? Rover implies they go back to whatever base they came from (I guess), is there a serial cable or anything? Host computer software? Wifi even! Very cool and I've never even heard of these before. Awesome about the batteries' charger, very good little happenstance.

It has a proprietary "Magic Port" with a Apple Serial cable. There is a site where you can get all the software needed to use it.
