Yesterday I picked up my TAM at the post office, and it is a great machine!
It came with a Sonnet Crescendo G3 upgrade and some additional adapters (USB, Ethernet, Firewire & modems) and some spare parts + software.

It arrived in a flawless condition, and works perfectly. The sound is very nice too.

Lucky! :O

Hell of a price, but the TAM is a really unique and interesting machine - not to mention it's permanent rarity due to the limited number made.

It's not so bad. No more than a standard laptop or a game console. I figured the TAM was worth it, as it will not get easier to get one if I keep waiting.

If you think of it in those terms, yes, but compare it to other vintage machines and it begins to become far more expensive.

I remember when those came out, my only thought at the time was that it was ludicrously expensive for a machine that is essentially a Powerbook without a battery. Not something I'd be particularly interested in, but certainly rare.

type of the USB card ?

i have a sonnet tango 2.0
' It's not ever going to work' instead of what is mentionned on the box
