There is an Altair up on Ebay for a buy it now for 6K LOL.
Don't everyone rush over there to buy it ;)

Yes yes, that's that compumkt (sp) guy. He is almost always WAY OUT in left field. I see those and know immediately who it is.

Yeah - anither example:

He bought THIS:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170155250329&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007

for $25, and then relists it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Very-Rare-Eagle...62296328QQihZ010QQcategoryZ4193QQcmdZViewItem

For almost $700.

What a dorf!

Man, seriously, if it wasn;t for that schmuck, I wouldn;t have had a great many laughs! While I was on the ship, a few of us gathered around absolutely laughing at his actions.

I was almost in tears, we were having such fun at his expense!

That eagle machine looks nice, was it a good CP/M machine?

Plenty of people on ebay buy stuff and then relist it at a much higher price hoping to get a sale here and there and make money (generally in an ebay store and not a real auction). Retro computers are such a niche that it takes time for somebody to show up wanting a specific model and having the deep pockets to pay for it.

I hate people who snag up some nice common items and then relist them for $100's and never sell them (VLB 486 motherboards for one).
