Alternative for video memory chip?

Hi all. I have a Philips LTP3230 286 laptop with VGA graphics, and one of the video memory chips appears to be faulty, as it works just fine in text mode and CGA mode, but anything higher than that results in a garbled picture. The laptop uses 8 TMS4464-12SDL ZIP-style memory chips for the video memory, and an F82C455 video controller. These particular memory chips in this package style seem to be really hard to find, and the one supplier I found that had them wanted like $45 just to ship them to my country (which is considerably more than the chips themselves cost) :stern:. So I'm wondering, is there an equivalent part that also uses a ZIP package, and is (hopefully) cheaper and easier to find?

That shouldn't be much of a problem. They were used in some Commodore models and in a lot of laser printers. I have a batch of them myself from the latter. All of the following 64Kx4 were offered in ZIP packages:

HM50464 Hitachi
MB81464 Fujitsu
D41464 NEC
LH2464 Sharp
M41464 Oki
MN41464A Panasonic
