Steady on, Tez - at this rate you'll have nothing left to fix and be left wondering what to do with yourself! ;-) Nice work, you're really getting the hang of this now.I checked out the 555, and found that, rather than just sending a pulse at startup, the the timer was holding this line high, (thereby bringing the RESET line low). I traced the fault to a faulty capacitor in the associated circuitry.
Capacitor replaced and the machine is back to full working condition!
