The Apple LISA computer was Apple's first GUI based computer.
The computer cost $10,000 in 1983.

There were three main versions of the Apple Lisa computer:
  • Apple Lisa 1
  • Apple Lisa 2
  • Macintosh XL
The Apple Lisa 1 had two 5 1/4" floppy drives (Twiggy) and a 5MB hard drive, called the ProFILE.
The Apple Lisa 2 had one 3 1/2" floppy drive that held 400KB and you could get a 5MB or a 10MB hard drive.
The Macintosh XL was a Lisa 2 computer running MacWorks with an internal hard drive and the same 3 1/2" floppy drive
The approximate number of Lisa units total was about 100,000, however, many Lisa units were dumped at a landfill, making the system unit even rarer to find.
Here are the specs:
  • Motorola 68000 CPU at 5MHz
  • 1MB of RAM
  • Depending on model, you had either two 5 1/4" floppy drives or a 3 1/2" floppy drive. All models came with an external hard drive.
  • Lisa Office System
  • Monochrome Graphics
