Hey, I originally asked for help under the Amiga section but I'd also like to solicit opinions on the best MIDI software sequencers for ST (I think that's what I want) that have the ability to synthesize sounds on the ST in realtime (assuming that's possible) and/or that can synthesize on the ST itself. (The issue isn't using the ST as a MIDI controller.)

And actually let me also ask if this is worth doing with only one floppy drive.

As the ST has IMHO a lousy sound ship but good MIDI most folks avoid using the on-board sound and just add an external MIDI module.

The number of floppies doesn't make much difference unless you want to sample sounds, what is a pain is if you have only a 360k diskette.

"best software" is often down to personal preference...

Try some of these:-
