Wait, that was the official battery kit??
I have that under my desk right now. I replaced the lead gel acid battery in it with two newer 6v gel cells in series. The little black box is just a very tiny inverter with just enough power to run the machine but it connects to the battery using the cigarette lighter connector and a regular IEC plug on the other. It does not have a nine pin connection anywhere.
