Best Dostools for an old XT/286 ?

I guess the whole idea of customising a system is to set it up the way you want. There are some old farts that even think using a menuing system in Dos is cheating ;) My current 286/12 system has no menuing setup at all. I just set the directories up in the PATH= statement and run the *.exe, *com, and *.bat etc from the C:\> prompt. There really is no "correct" solution. It only has a 40meg hard drive at the present so I remember most of what I need to run on it. That includeds networking, Geoworks 2.0/Windows 3.1, some utilities and a few games. For extra storage I'm using a LS120 parallel port drive at present, with a Backpack CDRom drive daisy chained off of it.

So yeah there's more than one way to skin that cat.

When you said XT/286, I was thinking IBM 5162.
Maybe you should have called it an AT/286.
But even that would imply IBM.
Am I being to picky here?
