The VR14 uses a bridge rectifier made up from two "half-bridges" with two diodes each.
The writing on the rectifier says "MDD DM 15". The parts list in the DEC VR14 Engineering drawings refers to it as "DM-15".

Does anyone know what this part is properly called and if there is a datasheet for it and if it is still available or what a good replacement is?

Here is an extract of the VR14 power supply circuit diagram showing how two of these parts are used in a bridge rectifier configuration:

It's commonly known as a "potted bridge rectifier". But your DM15 has a strange mounting method. All of the ones that I've run into are either round or square with a center mounting hole.

The part is two diodes brought out to separate terminals so not really a bridge rectifier. D1 and D2 wired together look to be a bridge rectifier so you can replace both with a modern bridge rectifier or if only one is bad you can replace it with a modern bridge rectifier and only use 3 of the terminals. Assuming space to mount to one of the existing holes. Solitron was the manufacturer of similar form factor G797/ DM, DM2 rectifiers but no longer makes them. Haven't heard of anyone finding datasheet for these. DM1/DM2 discussion

You can replace it with a normal bridge rectifier with all four diodes in one package, but it will likely have a central mounting hole
