C64 Power Supply Substitute

I don't need it to look pretty but can I make do with a 5V meanwell supply and a small 9v 10VA wall wart or is there more going on in the PSU circuit that say you can't do that?

Or the even easier route jafir mentioned - use two wall warts,
I have another video where I put two wallwarts into a 3D printed box
 
When I rebuilt my power supply, I used the original 9v transformer and a sufficiently sized 5v wall wart.
 
Wish I could offer a Nu-Brick 64 PS. Sadly, I'm in supply-chain hell, and I've been waiting on parts for months now. However, I've found that in this particular forum, many users are handy enough to build their own.
