Classic PDP-8 Donation at the RICM

I used d8tape to make source code for MAINDEC-801-3A and, MAINDEC-08-D0AA, and MAINDEC-08-D0BA. I couldn't find a paper tape image of MAINDEC-801-3B. I have been adding lots of comments to the source code, assembling with PALBART, and comparing the BIN output to the original tape image to make sure that I didn't break anything. So far this process has worked.

The diags MAINDEC-801-3A and MAINDEC-08-D0BA run OK on the Classic PDP-8. MAINDEC-08-D0AA uses the SCA instruction that the Classic PDP-8 doesn't implement, so it halts at 5406 in the SCA tests.

Does anyone have a paper tape image of MAINDEC-801-3B or a source listing?

I found an old post which seemed to imply Doug had 801-3B at some point.
I looked for it but I don't seem to have a copy. I did find some 8/e diagnostic paper tapes from 1977 which are meant to replace some earlier ones that a friend gave me. The adhesive on the labels has failed and the labels will fall off when I try to read them. Not sure what to do about that.

Mike, I will keep looking. It would be a shame if nobody has a copy of MAINDEC 801-3B This is the multiply and divide diagnostic specifically for the Straight 8 EAE.

I emailed this to Mike but Mike mentioned that it looks like MAINDEC-08-D0BA replaced MAINDEC-801-3B. The date on my original copy of 08-D0BA is 9/1/65 and since my machine was delivered late in 1967 it is very possible that no copy of 801-3B was provided. It would be a shame if 801-3B was lost so I hope someone comes up with a copy. I would like to know what was changed.

Can then read the original punched label that is normally under the paper label though having tape not start with leader makes them more difficult to use. I use rubber cement to reglue the labels.

The punched label is one of those things Warren thought would be a good thing to save if possible. It is useless except if you have a real paper tape, but if you want a completely authentic tape you need the human readable punches.

I will use rubber cement. Thanks for the suggestion.
