On power on, a brief drive whirr , the centre LED illuminates and stays illuminated. There is no blinking or flashing of the drive LEDs.
I believe the drive is interfacing in some way with my PETs even at a very early level because if I turn it off, I get "device not found" errors.
Typing CATALOG results in a blank screen (and freezes) if the drive is connected. Print DS$ / DS result in the same no matter whether the drive is on or off (DS$=blank, DS=10)
