I'm trying to find a source for the drive isolators used in the Compaq Portable (1).

Here's what's in the system:

Barry Controls Duo-Plexx 7820-4 plate isolator

Here are the dimensions:

A:16mm (15mm would work)
B: 35mm
C: 25mm
D: 1mm

Dimension image stolen from McMaster Carr

McMaster doesn't seem to have one that's this exact size. I suppose I could use some spacers to make the "A" part of the isolator longer, but I'd rather not fuss with trying to keep them lined up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I see things which are close... and almost $20 each :eek:

I'm still looking. Here's a better set of measurements on the one in the Compaq:

Shock Mount.jpg

l= 36mm 1.414” (this is a common size)
L= 44mm 1.75”
OD = 25mm 1”
t=1mm
a=10mm .40
A = 16mm .625
DM = 31mm

So to finish this thread up, I found all the pieces I was looking for, and mounted the drives in a way I didn't need more shock mounts.

Thanks!
