Now that's cool, I bet that it was satisfying to see a successful install after going through all the work of restoring the tapes and hunting down all of the pieces. You've done a fantastic job of archiving and documenting this system on your site and with YouTube videos, it's really educational. Documenting the process you use to arrive at the results has been most valuable as well. You've taken QIC tape analysis to an incredible level, inventing all kinds of processes by which to extract every byte and then some. Data forensics is a special discipline. Bravo!

FWIW, the ftp host banner message on my x64 Linux box still makes reference to the MightyFrame--probably some old files left over when I un-tar-ed a MF file. One of these days, I'll find it and change it.
