I will look into thatthere is someone archiving S/1 software right now, so getting them to someone like Silent700 that can archive them would be a good thing

I think you just have to hit 10 posts to do DMI’m a newbie so I can’t send DMs yet.
I gotcha. Again, I’m not sure how we got them as I don’t think my parents ever owned an IBM.
Datapoint systems with 8" floppy disks DID use "IBM-labelled" diskettes. IBM invented the floppy disk, but Datapoint was the first commercially-available computer system to offer them. The IBM label (on the jacket) was common ... as long as the diskettes were 'soft-sectored' -- as most were -- they could be soft-formatted for use with a Datapoint.I gotcha. Again, I’m not sure how we got them as I don’t think my parents ever owned an IBM.
Dear Laura, I programmed Datapoint Systems for 5 years between 1977 and 1982. I would be happy to get such a system again. I am a swiss citizen, living near Zürich. Is your 1500 still available and in full functionality without any damages? Best regards ChristianSo I’ve been looking to sell a Datapoint 1500 that boots up and it has the Datapoint dot matrix printer that does turn on, as well. Has the cables and the 8in floppy boot up. I can’t find any past sales on eBay and do know this is pretty rare from the research I’ve done so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Laura
