Dual Pentium III

I've got a dual slot1 tyan board that does not like to run anything higher than 100mhz. Its fine down-clocking 133 CPUs though. I'm either going to run dual 550s in it or downclock some 133mhz fsb 1ghz CPUs. Going to mothball it for the time being though and use the hardware elsewhere.

If you're talking dual P2/P3, the 440GX is probably a better choice. Supports 2GB. The downside is 100MHz (official), but I've had no problem running mine at 120MHz.

Yeah. I mean, I’ll admit I forgot about the 440GX, I was misremembering that the BX was the last/best dual Pentium II/III chipset with AGP Intel made before the RamBus debacle, but… I did say “Prosumer”. GX boards were mostly straight-up “Pro”, or at the very least were much rarer.

My dual P3 Supermicro uses the GX; takes 2GB of memory.
