For starters, the Equity I ain't a '386, it's an 8088, therefore, there is no setup in CMOS RAM. Setup is accomplished by setting the DIP switches located behind the door on the front panel, below the disk drive(s).
Secondly, Epson is pretty good about providing support for it's legacy products, you should always check thier website first.
