So I finally decided to write my own Reggae Truck song:

Reggae Truck Rap

This is a song about da Great White Wail-ah
You'll neveah get me off your tail-ah!
It never fail-ah!
The Man come and take you to da jail-ah!
You better have your bail-ah!
Your excuseses for da judge are just stale-ah!
He ain't impressed by your sad tale-ah!
He graduated from Yale-ah!
He's heard it all before for real-ah!
You better take your boat and sail-ah!
Into the raging gale-ah!
Hold on tight to the rail-ah!
Your sensibilities the seas assail-ah,
Ya keep on throwing up into a pail-ah!
And all the other sail-ah,
They know what ail ya!
You've never seen it on this scale-ah!
You see another boat you try to hail-ah!
But it's a-carrying da Mail-ah!
They try to nail ya!
Like you some kinda quail-ah,
But when you think the storm will prevail-ah!
Start seeing clearly thru da veil-ah!
Then you wake up you're in your trail-ah!
Out in da driveway is da Great White Wail-ah!
To take ya over hill and dale-ah!
Down to ComputerHell-ah!

it took a while to get the tempo right, but i used a looping reggae beat from my daughter's yamaha keybaord while reading your lyrics, and not bad.

wonder if it would sound better with some fresh air ;)

I also own a Yamaha keyboard, a PSR-36. It has five variations on each rhyhtm. Which if these five reggae variations do you think best fits Terry's song, never mind the tempo? The sixth pattern is the dreadful song ending one.

Personally, I find the fourth variation a bit like monkey, err.. I mean jungle music..

My kid gave me the beat, I just supplied the rhymes. It is kinda like a jungly-type beat though (more jungle than island-sounding), at about 4/4 time, I think (Carlsson's is a little too fast). I could probably play it on bongoes, if I had any.

maybe I'll try it with my SK-1 and maybe with a nice sample to loop? ;)

OK, it's like this:

Ah-seven-seven-temp-oh
Ah-seven-seven-temp-oh
Ah-a-five-temp-oh
Ah-a-five-temp-oh
Ah-seven-seven-temp-oh!

Well...sorta...
