!?!?!?!?!?!.........!?!?!?!?!

I think my brain is going to explode trying to wrap my head around this one....

Thinly veiled spam.

BTW, for unknown URLs I use Google and read the 3-line summary. If that's not enough, I hit "cached" link so as not to expose myself to whatever the site might be reaping (ie REFERERs, etc).

Personally, I have more faith in spam if it is direct:

"Hi, I am the co-founder* of this gaming site: ZZZ. If you like playing casino games on Internet, I look forward to seeing you there. New players get $20 extra to play for once they sign up! Betting rulez!"

(*) or eager member, or someone who gets provision for each new player they can bring to the site.

They get referral links "for free" by posting in a forum, guestbook, blog etc. That benefit can be revoked by making a forum readable only for logged in members, or by setting up rules to prevent spiders from indexing the forum (which may have other advantages as long as the spider follows the rules - dishonest companies in the search optimizing business preferrably are IP banned or likewise).
