Help with Chicken/Egg situation

Hello all,

I seem to have deleted all Internet browsers from my Apple Macintosh PowerMac 5900-200 loaded with Mac OS 8.6.

It now seems I may have been a bit hasty in this, as when attempting to install any new software, it says 'Could not open the application program that created the document name ....'

I don't have any of the original CDs. Is there any way to recover from this situation?

I believe you can still download a numerous floppy disk set from the Apple web-site;. Any Mac OS after that tho has to be purchased.

Last I checked, the free downloads at Apple stopped at the 7.x series, 8 and above were still held but can be found rather cheaply from various mac sites.
