How to ship a rk05 disk pack.

I need to get a rk05 disk pack, with valuable data, from NYC to Mountain view, CA. What is the safest way do this? Can I just ship FedEx insured or should I fly out and bring it back on the plane , avoiding Xray?

Assuming that you are willing to pay the premium to safely ship it, I would get a box a few inches bigger than the pack, Instapak the top and bottom and ship it insured with a Shockwatch. The packaging should be reusable for the return trip as well.
