If I'd seen one (without going out of my way for it) for the $99 price I probably would of bought it, but only because at that cheap I'd be willing to take a chance on waiting for an Android distribution to show up for it. At that price it'd be a huge bargain compared to, say, hacking a color Nook at $249. So far as I know the basic hardware warranty still applied to the discount TouchPads, so who cares beyond that? It's not like anyone fixes out-of-warranty $99 electronics anymore.
Undoubtedly I'd play with WebOS in the meantime but as soon as an alternative came along... *ZAP*.
