Hello,
I've acquired an IBM PS/2 Model 50z which is an MCA based model. After recapping the board to resolve a short on the 12v rail, I got the system to post and boot to Gotek floppy emulator. The ESDI drive that came with the system is dead so I ordered an MCA Spock SCSI card. The system threw all kinds of errors trying to initialize the card. I read few forum posts that seemed to point to the Spock card not being compatible with the model 50 computers. I ordered a Japanese Tribble and that threw a bunch of errors, so I finally acquired a Long SCSI/A Tribble and the computer sees the card and it sees the drive, but I keep getting errors. The SCSI drive I'm using is a BlueSCSI. I considered that it may not be compatible, but I'm getting the warnings whether the drive is plugged in or not. Please see the attached photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
