I think the SCSI interface is device, not controller, so probably not. The USB interface was very new then and initially HP didn't provide drivers for the USB interface, just SCSI. That it works today on a modern host is remarkable.
Thx for letting me know, I figured as much but was worth a question to make sure. Hrmmm might have to break down and buy a usb to scsi adapter, at 125 bux they aren't cheap...
I do not have access to the IBM or printers at the moment as they are with "she who must be obeyed" so I will have to message her to check the version of 95.

You mentioned it has a clean IBM OEM install of Win 95 OSR2. I missed that post. If it is tidy and at a good price why not. As for the usb inkjet I'd skip it and try to find a Laseret with centronics- lpt cable.
