Hello Folks,

I'm trying to find a simple command line driven X/Y/Zmodem prog for the PC but I'm drawing a blank.

I have found a number of drivers for BBS and some full featured comms programs but I would just like something that works along the lines of :-

XM -receive <filename> -port -baud

Does anyone have anything suitable please?

Thanks,

Andy.

Hello Folks,

Thanks for the suggestions.

Following archeocomp's suggestion I went to http://www.lanet.lv/simtel.net/msdos/zmodem.html and chose dsz9705.zip and dsz9705x.zip.

Unfortunately, the links from that page are bad but the clue is in the filenames and so a quick search took me to this website at HP http://ftp.labs.hp.com/ftp/pub/micro/pc/simtelnet/msdos/zmodem/ which has the same files.

DSZ seems to do exactly what I am looking for. I haven't tested it extensively yet but it a quick look at the documentation and I transferred a few files with ease.

Thanks again,

Andy.

IIRC, and my memory is a little vague, but I think DSZ was the program du jour for several BBS programs for external protocol support.
