Looking for DWP410 printer manual

Hello Folks,

Please could someone point me in the direction of a manual for the DWP-410 printer?

I have found a number of copies of the tractor feed manual but it is the printer manual I'm seeking. Specifically, mine seems to be double spacing the lines and I'd like it to stop!

I wonder if the control codes for a DWP-510 are the same?

I can't point you to a DWP-410 manual, but I think the answer to your problem is about the same as for the DWP-510 and many other Tandy printers: move the newline switch from "CR + LF" to "CR ONLY". See p. 13 of the DWP-510 manual.

Thank you everyone,

The DPW510 looks very similar and has a switch inside the front panel to control this feature. The DPW410 does have a switch in the same position. However, this switch controls impression strength H,M,L.

I will give the control codes mentioned in the 510 book a try and see if they work.

Two other sources you may find helpful in the future:

• The online support pages for the DWP-410 that were on radioshack.com up until a couple months ago and are still available at archive.org.
  
• The 1985 book "How to Use Your Radio Shack Printer" (Cat. No. 26-1242), which has lots of info on most of the printers produced before 1985.

Both say that the ESC-NAK (decimal 27-21) control character sequence should make a DWP-410 respond to subsequent CR characters by doing only a CR, rather than a CR-LF.
