so anyone here able to add large disk support for a phoenix bios?
esc@dos and i have not been able to find a modded bios anywhere that is for the Leading Edge
fortiva 5000-- daewoo 2800.
in fact that computer was not even listed on The Retro Web.... so we have given them as much info as we have
including a dump of the stock bios.
or perhaps a lead to someone that can mod that bios?

no empty socket.
will your option rom work if its flashed to the bios chip as a stand-alone?

i made a typeo -- the other guy is esc2dos,, i spazed the shift key i guess

You'll need an EEPROM programmer and a network card that supports a plugin ROM.

No, that will brick the motherboard. This is an Option ROM, which supplements the existing BIOS code by adding features.

If you don't have a network card with a ROM socket, or an EEPROM programmer, I'd recommend just using drive overlay software.
