Lost CBM/PET Cable for 8050 Dual Floppy, what is it?

We have a Commodore CBM (PET 2001-32B) here at the Goodwill Computer Museum with an 8050 Dual Floppy external drive bay. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances we have lost the connecting cable that goes between them. To replace it, we need to know what to look for.

Which cable connects the CBM to the 8050 Dual Floppy? Does it have an official part number?

It's an IEEE-488 cable. Some other forum members had links for these cables which they will most likely post here. Or if you're feeling handy, this cable can be built from parts. You would need a 24-pin male amphenol/centronics type connector for the drive end, and a 24 pin (12 position, 2 row) edge connector with 0.156" spacing for the PET side. The drive connects to "CBM connector 3" in your pictures. The connections are straightforward, pin 1 on the drive connector goes to pin 1 on the edge connector, pin 2-pin 2, etc.
 
It should be added IEEE-488 is a standard also known as HP GPIB and used in many applications apart from Commodore PET. What makes the PET cables special though is the card edge connector in one end. Personally I'm sold out on spare cables, and the proper cables found e.g. on eBay and other resellers tend to get a little pricy.

However on eBay there are rather inexpensive IEEE-488 cables with the Amphenol connectors in both ends. It means if you got one of those cables - most definitely found if you search for IEEE-488 - you can get away with replacing just one end of the cable with a card edge connector. It still is a bit of work, but half the job is done.

Of course the best solution is if someone else has a spare, ready made cable to sell you.
