MAI Basic Four anyone?

Thanks for the Welcome,

I currently don't have a running Basic/Four. My 13xx went to the scrap pile decades ago, all I have left of that one is the metal logo off the plexi-glass door to the cabinet and the lead balance weights out of the bottom of the cabinets. What I do have left is the boards and power supply to a system 2000 (SPx), but really have no intention of trying to restore it. So, if anybody has an SPx that is in need of memory, 4-way's, drive controllers, or a power supply, feel free to contact me.

What I did end up keeping was the ASG modular accounting software, mostly converted to run on Basis BBx Progression/3. It has been a handy thing to have, since it was a fairly reliable accounting system. I had to do a few cheats along the way, to get around the protected programs that served up activation keys in the software. That an as much of the manuals I could scan into .PDF docs.

I really need to repair or sell my mai basic four before ee sell and move.

Following up again on this older thread as we just received a donation of an MAI3000 along with the users guide. Haven't had time to dig into it yet, but will start documenting it soon. Looks to be a BOSS/IX machine. If anyone is familiar with this system, feel free to reach out. I have seen a few photos and mentions online but we are not aware of any other actual systems in people's collections. Thanks!

Yes, it is a BOSS/IX machine. I have some documentation as well as installation tapes. However, for reinstalling you need the config record that need to match the serial number of your machine. If the system is still booting, the config record can be extracted and written to tape.
