Longtime ... vintage? they sure weren't when I first bought them...? computer hobbyist...
My focus is MOSTLY on Macintosh (specifically classic Mac OS between 7.6.1 and 9.2.2)
Also kicking around my old C128D from my childhood still.
Also dabble in some oddities, usually for video game development and Japanese-market only systems.

I've been meaning to get more involved with VCF events and the like over the last few years, and finally tangentially was invited to display at VCFsw with MDCon.
(I also collect and work on MiniDisc hardware, specifically MD Data - DATA EATA, Multitrack mixers, photo/video devices and the like.

Setting up an account as I've decided to make the pilgrimage out to VCF West this weekend, and helping a friend get stuff out of their apartment for consignment.
Anyhow, nice to meet everyone here!

Thanks! Every time I get around to planning checking out a local event, I end up missing the date somehow!

One thing you touched upon that I'm having trouble with... what are "VCF national events"? I've heard some people mention that some VCF events aren't "official" - For example, I think this was the case with South West... but I'm kinda unclear how everything is organized on this front.
Also, sorry if I missed something super obvious!

Welcome! Pretty cool about your interests in MiniDisk hardware. I recall them used for audio back in the day. Am not familiar with an MD drive for data, which isn't saying much. Who/what was mainly published on MD data disks?

Hi Dan. welcome to the VCF Forum.

Baltimore is not too far from the VCF East location in Wall, NJ. I went the last two years and really enjoyed it. It is a 2.5 hour drive for me in Mid-Hudson Valley NY.
