MFM drive from Atari ST (SH204)

Hi,
I've managed to repair a MFM drive from an Atari ST. Its the SH204 but the spindel on the drive now seems to get stuck when I turn it on. Sometimes it fires up but other times I need to give a slight push to get it working. Is there any way I can lubricate this so it does not get stuck? I can't see where it seems to be catching.

That sounds like a Stiction problem. Not a lot can be done when a drive reaches that point. On rare occasions an extended and aggressive exercise of the disk will make lit less prone but it will still on occasion need some persuasion.
