Great Apple Collection!
After looking through your PDF file, it has given me an idea.
Now I have a fairly small collection of vintage machines, but there are a lot of associated 'stuff' that goes with each and every one of the machines. Power bricks, specialty cords, cartridges, manuals, joysticks, etc.
Since I'm an old guy already, I'm thinking that 'someday' my collection will pass to my son. He probably won't be interested in keeping it - which brings up the prospect of selling the collection. Given that, how would he know which parts went with which machine. Certainly much of it can be figured out - but not all. So, I'm thinking I should take pictures of ALL the equipment and label what part goes with what machine. That way there would be an actual visual to go by as a guide. Would make disbursement a whole lot easier for someone unfamiliar with my 80's machines. I could then incorporate all the pictures and text into a nice PDF file, put it on a labeled CD and store it with the vintage collection.

European Apple II clone, pearcom

rather a plump desktop, due to the 14 slots

Apple originally sued Pearcom, challenging the firm's use of a pearshaped logo and the name pear II.
By changing its name and logo, Pearcom convinced Apple to drop the suit.

I would be interested in reading any tech docs that might've came with the box. Considering each slot is mapped into a specific range of $Cx00 memory space on the II, I like to find out where in they mapped the extras slots to.

Very nice! One thing I just thought of in regards to your MacCharlie web server: You could use a Macintosh Plus as the host Mac, use a SCSI Ethernet adapter, and do 100% of the hosting duties on that, assuming there is a PPP server that runs on a Plus...

I do have one question, though.

The MacCharlie connects over RS-422. I'm assuming that the MacCharlie app is just a serial terminal, and the text data is sent serially to the Mac, right? It's not generating graphics on the MacCharlie, then sending that graphical display over to the Mac from what I can tell.

Very nice. I'd love to get my hangs on that ZipGSX card!

Something to think bout..

Lets say the clown(s) who forced Steve Jobs out of Apple never did, and was there all along, where would Apple be today?
