Network drive boot - testers wanted!

Alright, my 286 works perfect. My PC-6300 doesn't work, hangs at "Found TOC entry: CMDLINE (sector 24, 1 sectors long)". This is probably an issue with the PC-6300 itself though.

Does the NIC work in the PC-6300 in a normal DOS environment?

I got this running on my 486.

With a crossover cable from my desktop's 2nd ethernet port to the 486 I get:
465.98 KB/s write
307.05 KB/s read.

Does the NIC work in the PC-6300 in a normal DOS environment?
It does, using Compaq DOS 3.30.

Edit: This is running half-duplex, not full. I'll have to change the setting later as it's stored in the EEPROM of the card.

I know this thread is a bit old but any updates? Thanks!

I am so bad with keeping things updated once they kind of work. I've been working a little bit on it, adding checksums to fix the occasional faulty packets that break everything. (at least on my busy network)

I'm on vacation now. I'll upload what I've got including the source code when I am back home. That way, if I do this again somebody else can keep going with it. I know there are a lot of good assembly guys here. (Hi, Trixter and Krille!)

Cool! Thanks, I am hoping to use it for my 5140 if I can not get the ZIP drive to work nicely with the Xircom PE3!
