Pretty... I'nnit..?

I have a problem. I can't seem to get the monitor plugged in. I downloaded some pooooooor scans of parts of the manual once, but they aren't really very conclusive. I've gathered so much, though, that it's the connector on the back, to the left I need to focus on. I'm not sure about which pins, though - and what "order" (as in; which pin for ground, which for signal)...

...Any help would be cool!...(Maybe a good PDF of the manual, from the future site 8) )

My suggestion: (worth very little)

Find which chip is the CRT controller or video or whatever.
Find which pin is the output.
Trace the path to the connector.
There you have it, ground should be easily identified.

For machines of the vintage, if it isn't a 6545 or 6845 CRTC chip (think 80-column PET or mono IBM 5150-model PC), it may not _have_ a single video chip. There were plenty of other ways of generating video - look inside an Apple II+ - no video chip, just TTL.

Schematics will be of significant value here.

A little off-topic, but maybe not.

One of this just went at auction last night on eBay. I was thinking of a bid, but the machine itself looked like it had seen better days.

It did, however, come with the docs and schematics.

Maybe you can talk the new owner into a scan or copy?

I have a circuit of sorts for this board, the video output is on J2 pin 12
On your picture looking from the keyboard end, it is the socket on the left
1st pin on the left. it connects to R58 & R60.

Hope this helps let me know how u get on.
