Osborne 1 + Gotek Floppy Emulator SUCCESS!

Old thread, but does anyone have one of these for sale? I don't need 5...or even 3 :) Rather buy direct than over the top fleabay prices. Thanks.
i just used a 5.25" to 3.5" adapter when i added an hxc modded gotek to my kaypro 4/84.

If there is a makerspace local to you they might help you out. Most of them have 3D printers, and are happy to help people learn new things. Be warned; lots of things at a makerspace are interesting and could end up taking away parts of your free time.
The makerspace near me has some stupid high monthly cost, imho. They won't even tell you any more how much is it before you create a profile.

You would think they would allow people to "browse" for a bit to decide if it's for them before shelling out bucks. Guess not.

I have both an Osborne 1 & an Executive. The disk drives on the 1 work fine but the Executive's drives aren't reliable. Will this adapter also work with the Executive's disk controller? I know very little about these Osbornes but I thought the Executive had double-sided drives while the 1 is just single-sided?

Executive drives are single sided. They are very much like Osborne 1 drives in operation, but are half-height normal floppy drives if I recall. I think from memory that they are normal drives - ie, separate power. If so, then you don't need an osborne-specific adapter, and you'll also need to take power from the floppy power cable.

Don't forget you can down load my STLs for a floppy fascia mount for the Gotek to print a similar styled floppy face that has a working latch and supports installation of a screen for the Gotek as well. I linked to them in the other thread.
I'm new to this website, and I recently have acquired a osbourne 1 and I am trying to do the floppy drive emulator mod on mine as well, and I am trying to locate the stl file link, im new to a lot of things here and my 2 neurons are not firing correctly

That's weird - I'm sure I linked to the STL in the original post here: https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/gotek-adapter-for-full-height-drives-5-25.1242278/

Well, here it is also. It's the earlier Beta, but it's the one pictured in that thread, and looks like an Osborne 1 drive.
