I'm a Kaypro and CP/M guy, but I've recently been bit by the Packard Bell bug--one would be nice for my fledgling 8088 and x86 collection. I've been tracking Packard Bell 386 and 486 computers on EBay and prices seem to be going up based on some of the closing prices; like all 386s and 486s, prices have gone up significantly in recent years. I recall in the 1990s, as a college student, seeing the "Packard Hells" (as we affectionately called them) for sale in Sears. I settled on an IBM Aptiva 2144 refurb direct from IBM, which was my first PC (I had been using a Kaypro and Epson Dot Matrix up until my sophomore year in college).

I don't see too many early Aptivas for sale anymore, but hopefully can find one the same model as the one I owned years ago. Gotta love nostalgia!
