Nice system! Will probably take enough hours to get you trough a long winter. Do you also have all the controllers for the drives?

Such a nice system!

How much memory do you have? I assume its core?

Hello Roland

Luckily I have an RK05 controller M7254, M7255, M7256 and M7257.

I have an RX02 controller M8256 and I do not know if it will be compatible with my RX01 drive.

I may need to try and swap this board for an M7846 which is an RX01 controller.

HAS ANY ONE GOT AN M7846 RX01 CONTROLLER ?

or

WILL ANYONE SWAP AN RX02 FOR AN RX01 DRIVE ?

Hello Dare

One of my PDP’s has some MM11 core memory.

The 3 board set is G110, G231 and H214.

The H214 core stack has the label EM electronic memories (see photo)

Another PDP 11/05 has an H217 - D Core stack module from an MM11 - U core memory unit

Nice. I love core memory.

With only 8KW you'll be a bit tight for running a number of OSes / tests. For example, you'll need to run XXDP+ rather than the later versions. Even then some tests will require more memory (e.g. ZQMCG2). A Unibone would be a great option for expanding memory, if you can swing it.

Feel free to reach out if you have problems with your MM11-L. I'm in the midst of repairing my 5th one.

I don’t know if they are compatible but I have some 64K conventional memory boards as well. Basically I have three PDP 11’s and one PDP 11/34 and some LSI 11’s 11/23 and 11/83.

I hope to get one UNIBUS PDP 11 and one QBus PDP 11 working.

Building a Unibone can be very useful for such a system to expand the memory and run RT11. And it can be a great help with debugging. The 11/05 serial port is a current loop or TTL. Not RS232. So maybe this project can be helpful.

I have an M7847 16K x 18 Unibus semiconductor memory board if you need it. I also have an M7819 8 port EIA card.

Willing to trade for PDP-8 stuff.

I also have an M7891 128K x 18 Unibus semiconductor memory board that may be spoken for already.
