So after a busy year where I switched to another school, things are getting a bit settled again. So I fired up one of the 11/20 machines here to read a PDP10 DECtape. I didn't run the machine for about a year, but when I switched it on it worked fine without any problems. So I think I did a good job at restoring it  I never used filex, but Geert told me how to use it. Three fortan files and one help document about the files. Now the files are back to the man who wrote them in a year when I wasn't even born yet. Kind a strange... 😀

Regards, Roland

Nice system you have there. I guess I should say systems as I see an 11 and an 8.

Thanks! :) Both of them are on YouTube btw...

Here is the 11/20. The TC11 controller is in the back of the cabinet because lack of space on the front.
A RX01 doesn't fit into the cabinet any more, fortunately my RX01 is a tabletop version :)

The 8/E shown in the old configuration. Now it has two RK05 drives and a RX02. So this rack is full also

So the 8e has a TC08 controller? With 2 drives I would think the TD8e would be a bear or could it connect to two drives? Never had a TD8e. Both are very nice units. I had an 8e with dual RK05s. I even have a short video on YT of me playing Adventure and the lights blinking nicely.

The TU56 is on a TD8E and the RK05 drives are on a RK8E clone. That is a three board set from Plessey. I don't have a TC08 controller. Only the TC11 in the PDP11/20 cabinet.
