I got an email message from ebay letting me know that one of my saved search items ("msbc-1480") was just listed but I didn't recognize the name so I clicked on it but still didn't know what it was nor did I remember saving a search for it. Well, I did a quick search and figured out that it was a video board for a multibus system. Cool! I have a handful of Intel single board computers - a SBC 80/10A from the 70s, a SBC 86/12A from the 80s and a SBC 80/10B from the 90s- so I must have seen the part number/name someplace and decided to save the search on ebay. The board was apparently new old stock, still in the original box it was shipped in and w the original paperwork and the b.i.n. price was super low so I decided that I shouldn't pass it up.

Guess I need to get myself a multibus card cage and a power supply. Anyone know of a cheap and/or d.i.y. card cage (or some type of equivalent apparatus) for multibus? I know where to get a power supply. Also, anyone have any experience with this or similar video board for multibus?20231213_202613.jpg20231213_202552.jpg20231213_202646.jpg20231213_202729.jpg

I found a similar ( though not as nice looking ) board on Ebay and ordered it... I don't have any SBCs but I should be able to wire something up.

Did you get all the manuals with it? I don't think mine comes with any :(

Cool, what particular board you get? As far as documentation I just got what is in the photo I posted, though there may be more documentation on the board out there.

The same. They have several MSBC 2480 's on ebay for around $60 each - though shipping to Australia is super-expensive...

I have the manuals for the other models, but not for the MSBC version. If you ever take images of your manual, I would love to get a copy of it.

Here is a link to the manual for the LSI 11 version of the board, ("LSI 11" is apparently a different format of single board computers than the SBC 80) but the manual is identical to my MSBC 2480 manual accept where it would say "MSBC 2480" and "SBC 80" it says "MLSI 2480" and "LSI 11".

My board also came with the schematic for the board, component layout diagram and an addendum of some parts changes. These may also be available online but if not I would be happy to send you scans or photos of them. Send me a private message and we can exchange emails addresses.
