I am researching Quest Electronics as I was trying to find out what it's timeline and fate were.
I know founder Roger Pitkin got pinched by the FBI for hawking stolen 2732s or such to a buyer in Europe who was known to be smuggling tech to the Soviets. And that the FBI plan to use Pitkin as an informant who would help expose the ring went off the rails when the media accidentally blew his identity.
But that's where it seems to drop from the news. I can't find anything that says definitively that Quest shut down as a direct result of that arrest, or what happened to Pitkin after. Does anyone know any of that? And if it made any newspapers or magazines or newsletters I might not be aware of?
