Hi folks.

I am looking for ANY documentation for the Unimation / Staubli Puma series to start a 'electronic library' for these since it is really hard to find info / schematics for them.

Thanks everybody!

I guess you are looking for schematics instead of the ordinary user documentation - right?
I just got a Stäubli Puma 562 a few days ago with the standard documentation (printouts) like the arm handbook and the VAL-II handbook but beside some diagrams no electronic schematics.
Since this question is already half a year old I want to ask you if you have some stuff you got in the meanwhile that you can share? Everything is pretty welcome.

Many thanks, Thomas

Hi tomrobot,

I got a 761 up and running. It came with 4 folders of docs. I got lucky.
What kind of controller do you have, VAL-II or UNIVAL? I assume VAL-II based on the handbook you mentioned.
In that case, at least the electrical drawing set could be somewhat useful for you.
Please look at http://theatronics.com/PUMA_Robot.html for info. You have to contact the admin to get access to the docs.

Regards!

I am putting togetehr information and new software for the PUMA robots... go to my web page: http://rutherford-robotics.com/PUMA to learn more. I scanned the programming manual in and made a PDF from it. (Download it there.) I am writing software to convert G-Code into PUMA DRAW commands... so far it is starting to look promising... take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHV5oY7viBM

Once the software is finished I will put it online for anyone to download and modify. These are great robots and I want to see what other people are doing with them too.

UPDATE: The Unofficial User's Guide is now online. http://rutherford-robotics.com/PUMA/USING THE PUMA ROBOT.pdf
