Hi all,

I've acquired a 3197 terminal monitor and logic unit, but no connecting cable between the two. When powering on the monitor the green light on the monitor is blinking. I assume it's because of no cable between the two. Does anyone know the pinout of the cable/connector between these two units? Will a straight through db25 work (less a couple pins that look like they are blocked off on the monitor side)? It looks like the logic unit receives power from the monitor through this cable as well as relaying the RGBI signal back for display.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Made a little progress in my research on this IBM terminal. First, I found out this monitor can be used on both 3197 and 3192. The logic unit that came with mine is actually a 3192. I then found the following excellent resource on fixing 3192's (including the DB25 CRT pinout) at http://repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_IBMmon.html#IBMMON_011

25-pin connector on back of 3192 CRT unit
