Hi there,

Im trying to track down images/info of the old paint app that we used to use on our BBC micros at school back in the 80s. I dont know much about it other than that we used to load it via floppy I think, and used a trackball to paint pixels on the screen. We had a few colours at our disposal - 8-16 Id guess (maybe more).

Any help would be appreciated - thanks! :)

Oh wow! Yeah that looks like it could be the one. Thanks :). I remember all those patterns you could paint with! Vaguely remember that 3button mouse thing as well although we used a trackball

It sounds like you're describing a classic paint program for the BBC Micro computers from the 1980s. These programs were typically loaded from floppy disks and allowed users to create pixel art using a trackball or a joystick. The BBC Micro had a limited color palette, usually around 8 to 16 colors, which were used to draw and fill shapes on the screen. These paint programs were popular in educational settings, providing a creative tool for students to explore digital art and basic graphics manipulation. To find images or more information about this specific paint app, you might want to search for historical archives of BBC Micro software, retro computing forums, or online museums dedicated to preserving vintage computing technology.

That sounds suspiciously AI-generated ... and utterly pointless.
