I have This Tulip XT 8088 pc. First XT of Tulip.
After a repair of the power supply it Boots right up Dos 3.30 from FFD 360k
It had no HD so installed the Seagate ST-225 MFM 20MB, with a Seagate MFM ST11 card.
There is a problem with think Keyboard Buffer?.
Just a DIR <enter> works fine.
Then f.i. -A: <enter> , copy a: ( I wanted to enter following "copy a: *.* c
then without any next key-press its starts scrolling , see photo.
I have to HARD-RESET the machine (A cntr-alt-del or cntr-c does not effect)
After reset a key press of f.i. 14x Q , same result in a scrolling screen.
What could that be of a problem?
NOP, Not keyboard -changed that
NOP, Hard drive or controller, took that out
NOP, ext MEM Card with 128K (Machine it self contains 512K) took that out
Have to figure out if Keyboard CPU is the P8272 or D8255AC.
any ideas?
Thanks, Maurice
