Today I went to my local thriftshop and for five bucks I picked up:

TI-99/4A
Speech Synthesizer
2 Controllers
The multitap thing
all of the cords

Games:

Reading On
Pole Position
Numeration II
Scholastic Spelling
Integers
Physical Fitness
Number Magic
Hangman
Reading Roundup
TI Extended Basic
TI Invaders
Video Games I
Munch Man
Alligator Mix
Parsec
Reading Fun
Minus Mission
4A Flyer
Early Logo Learning Fun

ALSO: problem is i cant play this because the way the video cable works is it has like two little prongs that i guess go on the back of the tv or something. ive got a fairly new tv so i dont think my tv is compatible. is there another way to hook up audio and video on this? thanks

Today I went to the local Thrift Store, and discovered that it has become more of a 'Theft Store'! What's up with the Salvation Army? I couldn't believe the prices they're asking now...

You can connect it to a newer TV, so long as the TV works with an analog input signal. It requires a monitor cable though--with a 5-pin DIN connector on one end and RCA connectors on the other. Here's a link that tells how to build one:

What you have now is a video modulator that is used to output a composite video signal on Channel 3 or 4--and the spade lugs only show up on really old TV sets, though there are adaptors out there.
