What ever happened to these machines?

Just wondering, does anyone know what happened to these machines? The recording seems to be from 1996, so these guys were pretty early in the vintage computer hobby. Just wondering if these machines and these guys are still around.

I knew guys at Syracuse University in the early 80s who were already finding homes for PDP-8 and PDP-12 machines that were being taken out of service in industrial and medical facilities. One of them owned a Straight-8 with 4K core and 28K semiconductor RAM (2102s on a custom board).

I can imagine, if you worked with these when new, that you also realised the historic importance from these machines. Sounds cool a straight 8 with 32K memory! Straight 8 is still on my wish list, but that will probably never happen...
