Somebody is selling a bunch of DEC PDP 11s. From the photos it looks like PDP 11 / 73.
What can you do with this computer?
What software can you try on it?
Is it only accessible through terminal, so no graphics, right?
Is it hard to install the RSTS OS. Is there software for it?
I think somebody tried BSD 2 on it.

I am asking because transporting this machine won't be easy.

If it is the stash in France that we have already seen photographs of, we don't believe they are complete systems.

All of the usual languages are available for the machine, as are the operating systems (RT-11, RSTS, RSX11 etc.).

Most of these machines are text only, but a number of graphics boards are available for them. I have just finished an RT-11 DMA driver for the QBUS Dowty SBD-B graphics card.

Obviously, you can connect serial-based graphical terminals to them.

It depends what you want to do with one of course...

BSD 2.11 has some fun games if you want to try them. They are all text or "curses" based so you don't get fancy graphics. You can put it on a IP network too if you want, but it doesn't have the CPU address space to run recent network servers.
